The Naivasha-Masai Mara budget safari takes you to Lake Naivasha where you can either take a walk in Hell’s gate National park. Alternatively, you can take bicycles and ride to the gorge through the magnificent views of the cliffs. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a boat ride in the lake.
In Masai mara, you will do your first game drive in the afternoon upon arrival. You can do two game drives a day, three short ones or a full day out. This flexible part you will agree with your guide on what will work best for you.
Here is your program for the Lake Naivasha- Masai Mara budget safari
Day 1: Nairobi- lake Naivasha
The drive to lake Naivasha area takes one hour. It is a scenic drive through the escarpment to the floor of the Rift Valley. You will be picked from your location, whether it is from your hotel or the airport. You will then proceed to Lake Naivasha region to enjoy a walk or cycling in Hell’s Gate National park. Check in at your hotel and after lunch enjoy a boat ride at the lake.
Day 2: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will depart for Masai Mara, driving on the floor of the Rift Valley. You will arrive on time for lunch. After check-in, take a moment to rest a little from the drive. At 15.00hrs will leave for your afternoon game drive, and be back at the lodge at 1800-1830hrs. Dinner and overnight at your camp .
Day 3: Masai Mara full day
Breakfast will be served early. You will then leave the camp with picnic lunch and spend the day exploring the magnificent Masai Mara National reserve. Your guide will find a good safe sport to enjoy your picnic with the open plains around you. You will then continue with your safari drive before heading back to camp. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge.
Day 4: Masai Mara
No matter how many days you spend in Masai Mara, you will never have enought of it. This will be another full day of activities in Masai mara. It is such an adventure to spend full days in Masai Mara, visiting different locations and directions. There is so much to see in this ecosystem that is partly Kenya and Tanzania, where animals wander freely. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 4: Masai Mara-Nairobi
Depending on your plans and arrangements, you can leave the camp soon after breakfast and enjoy a game drive enroute. Optionally, have an early morning drive and return to camp for breakfast. Then your safari back to Nairobi will start, arriving in the afternoon for your departure flight or other arrangements.
